Composers & Choreographers: Zooming in on Collaboration

In the interest of fostering new collaborative relationships between composers and choreographers in the Philadelphia region, this event will focus on connecting artists as well as discussing issues surrounding collaboration. New format this year! Participants will circulate amongst tables where guest facilitators will share tips, troubleshoot problems and guide discussion. As always, great food and drinks provided! Discounted parking available upon registration.
If you spark a new collaboration, you may be eligible for the grant programs Community Partners (deadline March 2, 2012) or Subito (deadline April 6, 2012) offered by the American Composers Forum, Philadelphia Chapter.
Artists are encouraged to join the This network serves as a place for choreographers and composers to mingle and share work samples, with the goal of finding collaborators. We suggest joining the network before the February 28th event to begin learning about artists in Philadelphia.
Artists are also encouraged to download the document Music for Dance: Composer-Choreographer Collaboration which is published by Meet the Composer.
Participants of Zooming In will be invited to attend the Philadelphia Dance Showcase, April 17-18, 2012, free of charge as well as Dance/UP's Fifth Birthday Party (location TBD)!
